All states have laws concerning what you can and can't do with wild animals.

As a generality they run something along the lines of "don't feed them",
"don't take possession of them" and basically don't fuck with them.

These rules don't comport with "feels" or what you "want to do anyway" but they are rules for a reason and the results of them not being followed vary greatly on species whether it's Deer, Bear, Racoon or whatever.

Generally the animal habituated to man is killed in the end.

The woman had 3 options:

Take it to a wild animal rescue
organization if that was what was appropriate.

Leave it alone.

Or kill it.....whatever the details might be.

She chose #3.....straight up.

Look in their dumpsters, see live creatures that didn't sell.
