Yes, we have a trusting relationship. She didn't want to be on my account until all my divorce and child support was done. Even then, I talked her to do so.

I am on marriage number 2. In my first marriage we only had a joint bank account. It was fine. Divorce was amicable and after 21 years of being divorced, we are still good friends.

Now, with hubby #2, we share NOTHING. I own a house. He owns a house. I own my cars. He owns his car. Everything is separate. I had a business and was making bank and was not about to comingle my money.

He is about 5 years from retiring. I have a large inheritance coming. We will be set for retirement but I will still not have any joint accounts.

Secrecy, in a marriage is not allowed. neither partner can have a Secret life beyond the marriage and telephone texting and such is not allowed to be Secret. When one partner or the other demands secrecy in their phone use and with other people outside the marriage, it's time to talk to a lawyer. This is a major Red Flag. Don't feel bad or shy for examining her phone. Men can't have Best female friends, and women can't have Best Male friends. Full Stop.
Because of the rampant cheating in today's relationships, I really wouldn't recommend anyone get married. Just live together if you love each other. If you get married, don't forget the prenups.

I want kids so damned bad. Wife doesn't. She hates them. So much so that against my wishes she went out and got a tubal ligation. I guess it's not the end of the world her family is royally fucked up and health problems are rampant. She probably shouldn't have any.

Truthfully I'd get a divorce in a heartbeat but she's so heavily invested in being a tick on my backside that I'm 99% sure she'll actually kill herself if I do. Crazy bitch ended up in a mental hospital when I tried but I backed down because I do care about her.
