It wasn't Ukrainian artillery. Those shells would just make small potholes in the road surface. There is no up side for either the russkies or the ukes in this action. Ukraine cannot attack anywhere south of this dam now. The russkies are going to have to haul water to sate the thirst of the entire population of Crimea. Forget agriculture, the crops will wither away.
