Will lumber prices be increasing as a result of all the forest fires in Canada and the US?

Who knows... Maybe they will be forced to start thinning out the forests and lumber prices go down from all the wood.

Good. I run a mobile sawmill and everyone has been trying to j me on my wood.

I will have no effect because lumber demand is slowing way down.

It might have some effect in the future if there are major disasters that destroy thousands of homes.

Noticing some strange wildlife patterns up east of the fires;
You can usually set your calender by the geese coming through in the early spring and again in the late fall; but yesterday and today, skeins of geese were coming through. I think they're fleeing the fires and looking for water and fresh air:) Probably the bears and moose; not being as mobile, didn't fare well but maybe some to those are on the way as well:)
