All he stated was that if Ukraine doesn't stop Russia now, Russia could easily continue on and invade a NATO Treaty country. At which time, as per treaty agreement, the U.S. and all other NATO members would be compelled to defend against Russia Quoting: Gnfr I agree with most people that our support financially and militarily is at best misguided. It makes me crazy that we are depleting the U.S. military inventories of necessary weaponry. But Pence said NOTHING about wanting this eventuality to occur. If anything, he is pointing out the ugly truth of the NATO treaty: if any country moves against a NATO member, all members are obliged to respond on their behalf. Get a grip. Listen to what said. You’re right in course correcting the dialogue here, but the point remains…why fear monger on a huge ‘what if’ that is highly unlikely to ever happen? Why is Pence so hell bent on the continued dumping of billions into Ukraine that he has to frighten the sheep with a boogeyman who has no intentions of a first strike in NATO?
