The "rules based international order" is absolutely obsessed with disarming everyone even in international waters so unless they hire extremely expensive mercenaries they're completely defenseless no matter how stupid that is or how vulnerable it makes shit we depend on like commercial shipping.

This is why some of us are pretty happy to see said "international order" wobbling and in a death spiral.

It has created incredible vulnerabilities in single point of failure systems that are life and death.
