Do you know what a ghost station is? It's a station that's been shut down and removed. But it's still transmitting data.
Or perhaps a station that was never created in the first place. But still transmitting data.
Interestingly, the data from these ghost stations is always dramatically higher than the data from the nearest actively working station.

I knew this crap was coming.

All summer I pointed out how the weather channel's temps were higher than the real temp. Some times by 14 degrees.

Many times over this summer that channel was reporting something like 86 degrees outside & I would check the thermometer on my deck & it was 72.
