In the new testament there are different words for man in Greek. Some are tis, hekastos, aner, arren. Aner and arren refer to a person that is male. The others are more to the meaning of people or something. The Greek word that is used in reference to the number of a man in revelation is anthropos.

Anthropos: human being, person; humankind, people; man, husband; used of human beings in contrast to animls or diety.

so yes so far OP u can be right since it can mean man in a plural sense...but it can also mean a single person. We cant just go by the word to pinpoint which one it means so we have to look at the context in which it was put.

The theme of section of the bible where this is found is obviously THE TWO BEASTS. So what do the beasts stand for..its obviously not talking about animals. In every instance when a Prophet of the bible is interpreting "beast" in a dream or a vision it represents a kingdom, group of people or political power.

example: Daniel 7:17 "These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth."

goes on to go into detail what one of the kings represents.

Daniel 7:23 "The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth."

so we can safely surmise that a beast/king means kingdom. In the instances in Daniel it was refering to medio-persia, greece, babylon and Rome. So basically a beast means political power because these beasts are beasts that have power during their alloted times.

so lets take the final part of revelation 13 place the meaning of the word beast in bold.

so we see here the number 666 is the number a man (singular) that is given to "political power #1" which of course consists of many people. so its saying its taking a name of a person and givin that name of the person to that political organization. its like saying, " theres is a business here and i want to name this business after a man by the name of ______ (you fill in the blank).

my point is the number is given to the BEAST not to a man. it is a number of one man that is given to the beast. SO our focus is to identify this political power not a single person. obviously any person that aligns themselves with this beast or plays a major part of this power is an antichrist.

i understand that many people want to know the person that will run this political power and by definition given in the bible he can be called an antichrist but the bible doesnt say much about him. it does say a lot though about the political power/government this leader will be in charge of and our focus should be identifiying this power that will be in place during the endtime....not to change what will happen but to prepare spiritually and warn others so we and others can be saved.

You are correct in so much that it is not a single man as protrayed by church and catholics and christians.

The cold hard truth is that most of what the church has taught and teaches is utter garbage and falls apart in light of scripture.

Church teaches that man goes to heaven, the bible disagrees.

Church teaches that satan is an outside force to overcome, the bible disagrees. Satan is an inside force as well and if you look in the wrong place to find it you loose.

So do you now see that the denial of the Christ within every human being, the denial that every human being has the potential to put on the mind of Christ, can come from only one place, namely the consciousness of anti-christ? After all, what is anti-christ but the denial of Christ? So if you deny the Presence of Christ within yourself, or within others, you have been blinded by the consciousness of anti-christ.

There is no compromise; you either accept my Presence within you or you reject it. You either serve the false master of anti-christ, the consciousness of anti-christ, or you serve the true Master of your Christ self. And if you deny my Presence within you, you cannot be one of my true followers, and thus you should not call yourself a Christian.

Likewise, unless you find my Spirit within you, you cannot possibly understand my teachings or interpret the scriptures. And this explains why so many groups of Christians are fighting over this or that interpretation of scripture. They are fighting because they are denying the Presence of Christ within themselves. Thus, they are left to interpret the scriptures with the carnal mind instead of going within to get the true interpretation directly through my Living Word. There will never be peace among Christians until they rise above the consciousness of anti-christ and find true unity through the inner Christ. And if there be no peace among Christians, how can there be peace on Earth?

Yes, many of the very good scholars that I have studied have come to the conclusion that "it" should be "he".
There is only one entity that has been "JUDGED" and that is the "son of perdition". Both the abomination of desolation and son of perdition is the same old character.
