I would get this vitamin from eating carrots or other veggies if you’re worried about toxicity.

Vs taking a supplement.

Sure but we're still not able to handle a lot of fruit n veg, and being indoors all the time makes it impossible to fix vitamin D levels. Meanwhile, you're toxic and struggling because of your daily salad and smoothie.

Re: Vitamin A Toxicity
I did low A/no A for 18 months. Lost all my mid-body excess fat, even my sidewalls. No extra exercise other than work.
Prior to that, I did Keto for about a year and then transitioned into paleo/caveman right up until I started the LowA, about 9 years worth of the paleo.
Upon examining the paleo diet, I determined that my daily intake of A was typically 10-15 times the RDA, and sometimes more.

One thing to understand - plants only have one defense mechanism - fight. And they fight via phyto-chemicals. For instance, soy and cruciferous vegetables both down-regulate metabolism. Additionally, soy is high in phyto-estrogen.

Furthermore, in our past, we did not have daily access to the food rainbow. We got to eat the plants that were in season. Late spring.early summer lots of berries. Late fall, gourds, squashes, and root vegetables. No one got to drink kale smoothies everyday, or eat blueberries all year. Meat, on the other hand, was generally available year round and this is most certainly why it became an important part of the human diet.

who is this a problem for though? we are not all alike. different species likely have different reactions. afaik, carrots have always been a food eaten by my ancestors.

i'm pretty sure i had a vitamin a overload symptom from taking mega doses of cod liver oil, because it had resolved some health symptoms i was having....took much more than the recommended dosage as i was likely deficient. i took a while to build into my head hurting in a way i'd never experienced before, which resolved quickly, a couple of days at most. didn't realize it was from too much vitamin a until later when i rea an article on vitamin a overdose describing the kind of head pain i had.

i doubt eating carrots is toxic for ethnic european peoples....or that all vitamin a turn into bad things in the body.

It is true, carrots are bad and should be used minimally in the human diet. They are not safe to consume, nor are most plants, because of their toxic plant compounds like carotene.

Why would Europeans eat carrots which originate in the Middle East?

Re: Vitamin A Toxicity
1/2 cup of cooked carrots yields 74% of the RDA for Vitamin A.
If this is part of the recommended 5 a day servings of both fruits and veggies, a person is easily consuming way above the RDA.
The RDA is calculated to insure that only 3% of the population would be deficient. That also means that a large percentage of the population would be getting too much.
The long term issue is fat soluble A is stored in the liver. Eventually, the liver cannot store any more and starts dumping it off into the body, causing all manner of problems.
Look at foods. A is in almost everything. If you eat a varied diet, there is almost zero chance of becoming A deficient. You most certainly do not need to add it via supplements.

1:09 min- how vitamin A toxicity is connected to autism

Towards the end of the video 1:22 he explains that they know about vitamin A toxicity and the goal is to keep all of us sick so we die early. Mentions Anthony Mawson a researcher who has written 30+ papers on vitamin A toxicity. It is a well known fact in the medical literature.

Re: Vitamin A Toxicity
Plant based makes you vitamin A toxic, because most plants contain carotenes which are converted in the body to vitamjn A.

Paleo is too high in fruits and vegetables.

Vegetarian diets include milk which is vitamin A fortified.

Carnivore doesn't contain fiber which helps to rid the body of vitamin A stores through eliminate toxic bile.

Keto won't work because it allows nonstarchy green vegetables and eggs, which are both high in vitamin A.

None of these diets is feasible long term for health or weight loss.

The carnivores are much healthier than any other group.

They're the only ones who are curing their mental illness, to a great extent. The zinc in the meat helps our brains and it's possible we are a zinc based species.

Yes zinc is important because it increases something called Retinol Binding Protein which helps the body to remove toxic vitamin A out. Zinc is crucial for human health and deficiencies are linked to birth defects and mental retardation, which explains why vegans always go off the diet when pregnant.
[link to pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov (secure)]
Furthermore, in children insufficient levels of zinc have been associated with lowered learning ability, apathy, lethargy, and mental retardation. Hyperactive children may be deficient in zinc and vitamin B-6 and have an excess of lead and copper. Alcoholism, schizophrenia, Wilson's disease, and Pick's disease are brain disorders dynamically related to zinc levels. Zinc has been employed with success to treat Wilson's disease, achrodermatitis enteropathica, and specific types of schizophrenia.

Lowered levels of zinc are linked to mental illness too.

Re: Vitamin A Toxicity
According to Dr. Lawrence Wilson zinc, which helps to detox the body of vitamin A, is actually a spiritual and sedative mineral.
[link to drlwilson.com (secure)]

The Brain. Zinc is thought to be a calming neurotransmitter in its own right. Symptoms of zinc problems include hyperactivity, ADD and ADHD, anxiety, irritability, nervousness, emotional instability, mood swings, bipolar disorder and many other mental and emotional symptoms. Conditions such as epilepsy, seizures, schizophrenia and other severe emotional disturbances often have zinc deficiency as a part of their cause. Zinc is considered a “sedative mineral” due to its effect on the central nervous system.

Zinc is also required for higher mental functioning and for mental development of the neocortex or new brain. Zinc is therefore an essential mineral in nutritional balancing science for mental and spiritual development.

Mainstream beliefs about Vitamin A:
[link to www.drlwilson.com (secure)]

Vitamin A is needed for vision, for the immune response, to strengthen the skin and mucous membranes, to regulate cell growth and bone metabolism, and is involved in hormone synthesis. However, this is just the beginning of the functions of vitamin A.

Vitamin A has other, more subtle functions, according to some authors. It helps the brain process information, for example. It is also needed in every cell for basic life functions such as respiration and energy production.

If vitamin A is low in the body, a person’s energy level will suffer, infections develop more easily, and cancer can occur more easily. Many other health problems also occur more often, from blindness to respiratory problems and others. In fact, vitamin A deficiency is still the leading cause of blindness on earth today.

Deficiency of vitamin A also causes night blindness, which is not really blindness but is difficulty seeing in the dark. It also increases the risk for cardiovascular disease, macular degeneration, cataracts, osteoporosis, diarrheal diseases and many viral illnesses.

I was thinking about Tom Cruise when I woke up, and how Scientology uses things like the purification rundown which is a niacin detox protocol, as one of their therapies. Niacin opens up a lot of detox pathways, and helps the body to rid itself of vitamin A, which is a major cause of mental illness.

I wonder if eating fruits and vegetables can make you into a Suppressive Person?
