The Pentagon has transferred $10 billion worth of arms to Ukraine that it still can't afford to replace because of congressional wrangling, a top Defense Department official has claimed.

DOD officials expect funding to backfill military supplies Washington has already provided to Kyiv to be included in Biden's supplemental request, which provides billions more in aid for Ukraine, Taiwan and Israel, Politico reports.

However, partisan bickering has meant the legislation has remained unmoved on Capitol Hill for months.
