No one owns any portion of the Earth. Since every human is unique in individual attributes, there is no pathway to achieve complete ideological synchronicity and therefore social structures must be created by those with the power to lead. Unfortunately that power is generally companioned by greed instead of altruism... Meaning control of humanity will always be in the hands of imperfection.

It is important to know that a "Right" is nothing more than a consciousness's belief and therefore is not built on a foundation of truth. Those that think they own property are merely living an illusion. In truth you pay only for the privilege to inhabit said property and that privilege can be revoked at any time by those powerful enough to enforce their desires.

that is the justification for paying property taxes and never really "owning" the land. But having rented it from the commons one can then invest in it and reap what one sows. without such a property right you get the tragedy of the commons

If human behavior doesn't mimic other life forms in nature (natural law) you... will... fail.

All other life forms establish territories, flocks, schools, nests, boundaries, burrows, whatever. They defend those to the death to establish reproductive cycle completion, rest and recover protection and security and DNA programming the future generations (like salmon returning upstream to spawn, blue herons returning annually to last years nests, etc.)
