Israel must act alone against Iran' Jordanian internal assessment says
U.S. worried about oil-price explosion

JERUSALEM – Any Israeli attack on Iran will not be aided by the U.S., according to an internal assessment by the Jordanian embassy in Washington obtained by WND.

"The U.S. policy on Iran is driven by economic concerns. Washington is worried about an explosion in oil prices in the event of any attack and so it wants to minimize all public involvement or U.S. coordination should Israel act," states the Jordanian assessment, according to a Jordanian security official speaking to WND.

The Jordanian official said Israel will not be allowed to use U.S. bases in Iraq as a staging ground for attacking Iran.

The official said Israel is "frustrated" the U.S. refuses to aid any attack militarily and that the Jewish state is looking into attacking Iran alone.

"This should not be interpreted as a lack of a green light from Washington. Israel can get the green light to attack, but it is being told it will need to act by itself," the official said.

The official said Jordan believes Israel is waiting to see whether the new leadership of the European Union, now steered by France, will embark on a tougher approach toward sanctioning Iran.

"Israel is giving the EU one last chance," said the official.

The official said if EU sanctions don't deter Iran, Israeli plans for a possible strike would take into account U.S. presidential elections, which could see the White House occupied by Sen. Barack Obama, who has spelled out a clear diplomatic policy in dealing with Tehran.

The Jordanian assessment comes amid a media frenzy speculating whether Israel will attack Iran.

Perhaps Israel will chose to admit it's own shortcomings regarding it's own nuclear arsenal and make amends, perhaps the 'House' will begin to bring forth technologies to make atomic / nuclear weaponry null / void.

Sounds like what I have said for some time is right on the mark. Israel let their people crash the U.S. economy too soon.

The plan was for the U.S. to take Iran out. This would fulfill their biblical Prophecy that Iran would be invaded by Gog.

Then Gog would stab Israel in the back and lead many nations from the north against it. So they think Bush is Gog and they wanted the U.S. to be on the brink of financial collaspe right after they defeated Iran. That way israel would be confronting a weak U.S. Israel's timing was off....they boo booed.

Biblical prophecy isn't supposed to be fulfilled regading 'Armageddon', it is supposed to be avoided; what do you think the purpose of prophecy is ?

It is to be mindful of approaching potentials, not something that should be enacted.

Is Iran in Israel's way? Does Iran block Israel's access to the Caspian Basin? Eretz Israel and all that?

A super-power like Israel shouldn't have a darned thing to fear from a nation like Iran because Israel has several hundred nukes already and can blast Iran off the map.

If Israel attacks, Israel must do it alone and must suffer all consequences alone. Israel is not worth one American troop's life. We are under no treaty to defend Israel.

Are you talking to me? Tell Israel that. I'm not the one trying to force history to conform to some stupid biblical nonsense.

Not bombing Iran is the right way to go. Best approach is regime change in Iran driven by internal resistance.

The most important thing is for the oil to keep flowing and for the US economy to recovery. Israel's well being and security is Israel's problem and not a problem for the US.
