I will answer Ross. EVERY time there is a prohibition against prognostication,it is because the prognosticators were in pagan cultures doing DIVINATION which is getting info about the future from spirit(s) and not prophesying by way of thr Holy Spirits.

Your assessment is correct about astrology. It is good until the spiritism is involved. Some astrologers who look more to the stars than the Holy Spirit and Jesus' guidance in prayer are idolaters. that's a separate issue.

well ROSS,it's all a bit diffuse for me. I see the specific claim that Jesus has for our loyalty and worship. He's the One king there is. No other. The gospels are clear about that.


If nature talks to you symbolically,you're more of what ? a taoist ? But any spirit other than the Holy Spirit and you are on dangerous ground. I have seen their work. I am their sworn enemy. I stopped a shamanistic fit in a girl mid-flight through the name of Jesus.I ahve kicked evil spirits out of people. I've had answers to prayer that are wonderful. God IS an interventioniist . This i know. I have learned this over time. I see healings( documented btw,some of them). He has GIVEN me more than anything I could reciprocate with. I bow before no man,no churchman or otherwise. No pope. The only authority I recognize is the indwelling Spirit of God in a man.That's what John said in his letter,' ye need not that any man teach you,the holy Spirit will teach you all things.". One group who seem to fit the mould of Cornelius in Book of Acts is the Hopi. many have converted to christianity because they recognize that he is the "Kwahu' or "Nitintachova" (sp. ?) of their prophecies. They see a seemless connection. LIKE THE MAGI,THE HOPI CONNECTED WITH A PURE STREAM OF MESSIANIC GNOSIS AND PROPHECY FROM EXTRA-JUDEO_CHRISTIAN SOURCES.THEY ARE SO EXPECTANT OF THE NEARNESS OF THE END AND THE COMING OF THE MESSIAH THEY WENT TO THE UNITED NATIONS TO TESTIFY OF THIS.( Thomas Banyaca/ I forget.)

and this my friends is where i would like to see all of us go. i fought with van helsing for days and all i got for my efforts was more of a fight. in the last two days i have tried to find common ground and it appears to me that i have found some. will i become a pentecostal christian? the chances of that are slim to none. i am a pagan and much too simple to have any interest in trying to sort through the complexities of pentecostal life. i believe that if we can find common ground we can live together in peace.

ye will notice that the more i asked van helsing what he thought in regards to my beliefs the more he was willing to allow me to be what i am. the more i attacked him the less he was willing to be open. it's obvious he will never accept spirits of any kind except what he regards as the holy spirit. it's also obvious if we allow him the courtesy we all want he will much more willing to talk.

does that ignore the burning times? not a chance. if we cannot find common ground to work from i suspect the burning times will come again. the fundamentalists from any perspective will push for it simply because they feel threatened. it does not matter if there is a threat or not, if they believe there is the burning will begin.

i am not a witch. not wiccan. if ye are then i personally have no problem with ye. being either one does not make what the christ taught evil, and it does not make ye evil that i can see. what the christ taught was a good thing. what the christian church did with it was evil. name calling leads to name calling leads to violence leads to more burning times. even if ye state explicitly that what the christ taught was good and wise, if ye include name calling with it ye will get an angry response. ye'd think as old as i am i'd not fall into that trap, but there ye go. i did.

i don't have any answers to make the christian and pagan world coexist peacefully. i'm not a wise man. but even i can see we need to do that.
