MSNBC's Chris Matthews and others were talking about ANY campaign taking the huge risk of hosting a political acceptance speech in such a huge stadium, and Matthews just said Obama's popularity completely filled the stadium with 80,000 people while McCain is having trouble getting 10,000 to his VP announcement.




I spoke with a manager of a hotel in Denver and he told me that his hotel is not even full like they expected. Of course it is not the Marriot or the Hilton, but it is a mid level hotel. He said they have delegates there, but it did not fill to capacity and he has spoken with other hotel managers who said they are not full either. They still have a few rooms left.

He also told me that some representatives from Obama's campaign came in to inquire if he would ask his quests if they would like tickets to Invesco field tonight. He also told me that they have been giving tickets to homeless people in order to fill the stadium.
