People only respond when you post something stupid.

Well thought out, articulate responses are mostly ignored. Happens to me all the time. The more time I spend on a post, the less the chance I'll get a response.

You have to constantly bumb your post.

And if nothing else works, start a thread about how your balls smell like A-1 Steak sauce. You'll get 3000 hits in under an hour.

Try leading with "WTF!" That's usually good for a few replies.

Sometimes there just isn't anything to say. It doesn't mean the post wasn't worth it.

Very true. You just have to post things you know will get a response, or post what you want anyway. That's what I do. :)

OP, I believe this comes down to not caring what other people think. If what you have inside is real, nurture it. Learn to speak from your heart. I'm guessing you are still pretty young. You can't make everybody happy. Speak your heart and more importantly... be a good listener. You'll go nuts if you let others decide for you what you would say at times.

On second thought, I have the answer. Humble yourself and quit seeking pride. It will get you in a place in your life that you don't want to be. Progress is through the hard things. You can only build your muscle by breaking it down. Same with other things in nature;i.e. how gold is purified/diamonds are made. Tough times can shape your character or ignoring tough times, changing for someone else can alter your true character. I would love to talk about this for days, but whats the point.
