Cantore is saying that 30,000 people have stayed on Galveston Island.

Jim Cantore says FIFTY PERCENT of the people stayed. Did not leave the Galveston area. I have a feeling we are about to see a major disaster across that whole area. The water height can't be escaped - swimmer or not. Dr Lyons saying waves are around 15' now and will double as the storm moves closer. That is just the waves...not the surge!
