"john just called me from houston. he went back this morning. fema is apparently giving out generators. all places are still without power. the billboard signs look like a giant has sat o nthem and bent them over.

all the gas stations are closed and the ones that are open have a huge line with the folks who need gas from the generators. his work, their shop, had 3-4 feet of water/oil in it. there is a ring around the building, inside & out.



in the bolivar pennisula (its over by galveston/surf side/crystal beach) they have grounded all flights. wont allow anyone to see anything. no news, nothing. johnthinks that there are actual bodies laying around. they wont even let the mayor in. apparently homeland security is there with a huge hand on everything. it'll be interesting to see what their reason is.....
