There is so little money in recorded material, it's barely worth the effort these days (still millions to be made though). I love hiphop, but not the shite that passes for it these days, an earlier poster mentioned the 80's which were great time for hiphop. But since then it has been hijacked by record executives and artists who think that rapping about bitches, ho's, cars, houses, jewellery, and money is a worthwhile cause. The 70's were great for hiphop/electro too. The 90's was good for Rave/Electronica/Acid. What has been the underground new music of the 00's? I can't think of anything other than emo's.
