As a former smoker of 20+ years I would argue that it lowered my immune, respiratory and intelligence systems.

Ok... The psychoactive compounds (CBD, THC) would be generally found in the trichnomes of the plant...

The trichomes look sort of like a Mushroom.

If you are going to extract and isolate the psychoactive compounds, especially CBD, you will need to harvest the plant with surgical precision, preferably with a microscope and high yielding CBD strain to begin with.

Hemp won't work because it has barely any psychoactive properties... Yes, Hemp actually does have some cannabinoids but not enought to extract or harvest... Hemp may look coated in Trichomes, but these won't get you high, even though they look sticky.

If you need to isolate CBD, you will have to wait for the trichomes of the plant to turn opaque, instead of clear... Opaque or even darker... After about 50-60 days of flowering, the trichome resin starts becoming cloudy, and begins to peak with high THC content.... if you keep growing the plant longer, the THC level starts to degrade, and CBD levels rise... so this would be the ideal way to boost the CBD ratio.

This is when you should harvest.

To extract the Trichomes crystals, there are a few ways... first you can grind up the bud, put it in distilled water, use ice to freeze it, then blend all the plant matter into ice water to freeze the trichomes...

After you've blended all the plant matter in ice water, the trichome heads separate, and are frozen. Filter the large plant matter through a micron filtration system (220 Microns+ to remove the inert matter), then filter the remaining water through lower micron filters... 75 microns, 50 microns, 20 microns...

After you've filtered the plant matter from the trichomes, you're left with the psychoactive compounds...

You should be left with a big glob of goo that is 90% THC/CBD/CBN/CBC/CBI/THCV...

Now to extract and isolate the seperate compounds, you will need lab equipment, chemicals, alcohol...

Look up Isomerization, that should be a good start.

It's not easy though, you need to have full understanding from Strain Genetics -> Harvest time. This is one of the reasons Scientists suck. They don't know much about how Trichomes mature, and what quantity/ratio of Cannabinoids will develop. You can of course do this with street bud, but your results won't be great.

Eat right, vaporize, and read books. I don't think anyone should smoke plant material for over 20 years. After about 1 year people should invest in a vaporizer if they're a heavy smoker.

A vaporizer is your friend in that regard.

Yeah, but I don't think the reputation really ruins it. My theory coincides with Montalk.net's theory on Organic Portals, Spiritless/Soulless beings among others on planet earth. I think Pot affects them differently, since they're kind of like robots to begin with. People with integrated and individual conciousness rather than Hive-Minds, have a complete and total experience when using different Herbs because of their biospiritual nature. Probably why "different" Humanoids, get "different" results.

There was a big study that released it's results about 2 years ago. It followed a large group of pot smokers and non-pot smokers for decades, and concluded that smoking pot, in any amount, does not increase one's chances of getting lung cancer. In fact, the pot smokers were very slightly less likely to acquire lung cancer.

It's kind of funny - most people seem to smoke and it just relaxes them or something. When I smoke I get a full-on psychedelic experience comparable to a low-medium dosage acid trip, but with less visuals. And it doesn't take much at all. I've always assumed I was hypersensitive to THC or something.

so, the active ingredient for healing contained is in the same spot as the psychoactive stuff... the sticky / crystal part...

vaporizing is best... no black smoke...

what about simple ingesting the whole bud instead of isolating and stuff...

i am assuming with that lab equipment you mentioned that one could eventually isolate the CBD and get the benefit without getting high off of it??

i have a love/hate relationship with smoking cannabis... i love it when done in moderation... but i am not self disciplined enough to have some and just use it once a week... i hate it because after prolonged daily use i get weird in social situations, and i cannot remember any dreams... and dreams are my best spiritual playground...

I have tried a wide variety from potent sativas(Haze,african,golds) to knock out Indica(Kush,agani,Whites) and all in between hybrids.

I am sober now and have never felt better physically and mentally.

Just trying to give both sides of the argument.

my body becomes too dependent upon the thc reaction and will not produce enough good feeling chemicals on it's own when i use it... therefore... i go a week without it, i smoke it for two days, then i try to go the third day without and i am sooooo tired and not feeling very happy...
when i do it only once a week i am fine, and it does not interfere with my dreamwork, and i can actually use it as a spiritual boost which makes the 'high' last like eight hours... but at that point it is not the cannabis which is effecting me, but my own state of consciousness...

I have 2 beautiful little girls, I'm a stay at home mom on the PTO. My husband doesn't make a lavish living but I've never been into the whole money scene. Yeah you gotta remember, prolonged daily use has a lot to do with the THC accumulation in your fat cells. Your brain is comprised of 60% fatty tissue and THC likes to hide in the Fat cells, and fat cells overload with THC over prolonged use. Thats why if you smoke it once a week, your body can deal with the THC in your fat cells, it gets assimilated. But if you smoke daily, your brain starts to accumlate the THC cumulatively and can't get rid of it quick enough. This is where I think the memory symptoms come from. The THC gets stored in your brain cells/fat cells, and as your body removes it, your memory becomes toast for a little while, your dreams screw up etc... Moderation is key if you're susceptible to this. Remember what I said about every time you smoke continuously you store more THC in your body. I don't think skinny people are affected by this that much... I know SUPER thin dudes who smoke a LOT, and work out a lot, and their body can quickly remove the THC.

Remember to do cardiovascular excersize so your body can quickly get rid of the accumulated compounds stored in the cellulite.

Yup... with the proper lab equipment, material and a little patience you can do a lot of interesting things with the plant matter.

You can ingest the whole bud, but when you ingest THC, your large intestine converts THC into 11-hydroxy-. delta-9-THC, which is different from THC and CBD... that becomes the main precursor to the narcotic effect when ingested...

If you're after the healing compounds, you will have to extract and isolate the compounds from the trichome goo.
