Anonymous Coward User ID: 556257 United States 11/24/2008 08:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was just playing final fantasy X right now and just quit when I saw this post. I play with a quad core system at 3.6 GHZ using pcsx2 on my HDTV. A couple examples of what the image quality looks like from my last playthrough on my PC monitor... [link to img33.picoodle.com] [link to img33.picoodle.com] Final Fantasy X and Suikoden 2 are my favorite RPGs. I just finished the Thunder Plains right now and am at the entrance to macalania woods. Love the "save the world" storylines not to mention the characters in FFX are unforgettable, and Suikoden 2 for that matter. Playing it in high res on a 1080p TV.. priceless. This kind of stuff is why I'm single, LOL. Screw the women who think the "real world" is more important. |

Finding all the characters to fill up your castle to get the good ending is enough in itself to keep ya going, but enjoyable, not at all tedius. |

Quoting: Different Guycheers I played FF1 on the NES, and it was ... well ok, but hell it was the 80's so it was 'as good as it got'. I put down the controller for a while.. years later I was a friends place and I saw FF7. I was BLOWN away! I was into that "I remember FF, and wow it's gotten SO COOl!". That night I went out, bought me a playstation, and a copy of Final Fantasy 7. So yes I did beat it, it took a few days, and I'd have to say it was 'worth the money'... the story was kind of far out, and at the time I thought cool, but now I see it more as some weird enviro thing... lol blowing up reactors to save the planet!.. And naturally it's funny being a 'terrorist' in the game. Soon after I got #7, #8 came out in Japan, so I had a copy sent over, and it just wasn't the same. For the record nor was 9 & 10. I don't know what it was about FF7, but frankly it was the BEST by far.. I just got a Playstation 3 not so long ago, I'm tempted to fire up the FF7 disks to see if it will work.... I could almost beat that thing again. "I don't know which was scarier...the speech...or the Congress cheering it. He evoked Lincoln. Biggest time sink in my life but back then it's all I did I guess. Would never go back as it's terribly unrewarding and completely group oriented. Love the series though and can't wait for FF13. In the 1970's people took acid to make the world seem messed up. Now the world is messed up and people take Prozac to make it appear normal. |

The movie was kind of a disappointment for me. My whole family played the hell out of FF7. Best one ever. "Zero zero zero. Destruct. Zero" Capt. James T. Kirk |

Three's good, eight's all right. The Crystal Chronicles is kosher, and the recent DS games are wonderful in their own right. Yeah, I'm a FF fan . . .
