That's probably what I miss most about my house at the Jersey Shore - waking up and having coffee on the deck....close second of course was watching a full moon sky from the same place.

We used to have this "pet" bat (he only hunted from our house). We named him Mikey (after Michael Keaton in Batman) he very rarely spent his days there (but did come back to die there), but more than a few times I was able to have my morning coffee on the deck, watching the sunrise, while Mikey rested from the nights hunt on the side of the house.

It's great feeling peaceful, and at one with nature, isn't it? (and bud certainly helps). Thanks for the memory - I can recall everything about the day Mikey first showed up like it was just yesterday....haven't thought about him for years.

It is a bit colder and wetter here, but I am out in the country, too, and even this sort of weather is enjoyable and peaceful to be in.

I'm glad you are having a "spring day". Here in Cali Mountains it has been raining, snowing and cloudy for weeks. But the sun is starting to peek through the clouds this morning.

50degrees with full high altitude sun here, not a cloud in the sky, going to walk to my coffee shop and sit outside.

we lost over two feet of snow yesterday, and it dropped over 30 degrees last night to get back to normal

i was kind of thinking the same thing when i posted this yesterday, just about good attitudes

i lived in West Virginia for a year and one evening had the same type of experience..wind came down from the mountain and swept over me..the feeling was very intense. We are one with nature whether some of us know it or not.

my dad gave me a 6x18 to put on that .300 win mag I got.. ( he wanted that Weaver for the scope mounts )

I shot it a few times and got it on the paper, but still need to shoot it 5 or 10 more times to get it right on...

goes boom like it's supposed to...
