Utopian Society
This was an assignment for a class, but do you think it is possible?

As I reflect of my version of a Utopian society my nagging sense of logic butts it's way into my imagination. It reminds me that my ideas are unfortunately unlikely. Hope reemerges as the winner in this battle of wills and I think, why not? Aren't we as a human race ready to move into an era of peace and prosperity?

In my Eutopia human beings will have evolved. The qualities of tolerance, respect and understanding will have become common sense attributes of all people. Emotions will be expressed and felt by others as a natural ability and managed in a way that promotes healing and advancement.
Because human beings will have undergone this transformation they are enabled with a sort of telepathic empathy. There are no wars, no injustice and those needing help receive it. This is because emotions felt by anyone will be perceived by everyone else. It would be impossible to ignore the suffering of others because it would trigger a sense of suffering in all people.
This will create a stronger sense of community that will allow people to freely share skills and resources. Because of the ease of global communications the network of people will be vast. Every person will be invested personally in the welfare and outcome of humanity as a whole. Society on a global scale will be interconnected in communications, moral principle, and survival.
When human beings have reached this point there will no longer be a need for currency. Anyone needing anything will be able to acquire it by means of trade. Technology will free up much of the time of labor and allow people to pursue activities that enrich and strengthen their minds.

Education will be available to all and is geared toward the individuals learning style and interests. Teachers and parents together will play an integral role in children's education. More time will be spent in nature and learning about life rather than cramming information. Learning is easier in this new evolved humanity and all people already naturally have a sense of knowing. Because of the closeness of community many resources are available to all wanting to learn or be taught. Education will cost nothing because we will have realized by then that learning is free and most all information is available. We will also have realized that we have a duty to our fellow man and so it would be a normal and natural thing for all people to educate each other whenever they had the chance.

The government would be an established global direct democracy. All citizens of the world will be a part of any decision to be made as a set rule or law. Every person has a vote and all issues would be discussed openly and freely amongst anyone and everyone. Through the Internet and other modes of communication people will decide together on the path society is to take. All people must be happy with the decision or there will be a disruption in the now integrated vibe of humanity.

Human beings, having evolved to sense emotion have also made many dietary and lifestyle changes. Meat is no longer eaten and exercise comes as a natural tendency. People will be active and involved within society and healthy habits will also become a common sense attribute. People will be more sensitive to their bodies and their health. They will have a natural ability to heal themselves and others because of the ongoing interconnected empathy. Emotion has been found to be a great influence on the healing of physical and emotional ailments. Because people feel each other's pain, the hope and visualization of a recovery actually causes that outcome to materialize.

After contemplating this Utopian society and if it were at all possible I realized that we are perhaps on our way. However if Eutopia were possible to achieve then it would take a major shift in human consciousness. Society as it is now is fragmented, in opposition, and under the influence of a system that is self-defeating. In contrast there are also many people who reach out to others and work towards a more perfect world. It is people like this that keep me hoping that the power of goodness and love will win out over the bad.

Re: Utopian Society
Eutopia is a positive utopia, different in that it means "perfect" but not "fictional".

Re: Utopian Society
I personally think life would be boring if everything were perfect and of course what more is there to strive for if it is. This would be more of an ongoing perfection of society. A limitless process of trying to perfect our existence.

Re: Utopian Society
You have some very valid points of which need to be established.
Of course the goal of the New World Order has been to destroy any natural unity that people have. The law that people live under is forced, not natural.

Until people understand that there are evil people that control them and the need for Faith, Hope, and Charity, Utopia will never happen.
