What's with all the old threads being resurrected?

A lot of it is a spambot targeting old threads.

I don't know...but I just posted in one and my post aren't showing up. Weird.

Page 1 has been the same for a couple of months now.

Well, I'm "back & lurking", lol........but it wasn't me doing the resurrecting........case you was wondering.......lol

I got tempted to try to see what would happen if I replied to a 4 year old thread that appeared out-of-the-blue and was unable to go further than 'page one'.. Good to know that info now though..

Memory hole binge and purge.

These are threads that nobody has posted on for a couple years, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to them. As in the responses seem to be someone just fishing waaayyyy back.

Don't think its a spam bot.

Lemme find a couple and provide some links.

A lot of them get bumped by a spammer, then we delete the spam reply, but the thread remains on the front page, so other people start responding as though it were a recent thread.

Yeah, I get that stuff at work and we allegedly have the best spam bots. Microsoft + Government = insert your perjorative here.

Do they really think American's can read Russian? That has to be less than .01% of the population.

Is somebody using the original thread dates/times or titles for sending a code? There appears to be no rhyme nor reason to what is appearing .... which has had me scratching my head too.
