Definitely i read somewhere that the source of evil lies deep in the abyssal depth of the ocean don't ask me where exactly i really don't know that answer.

It's not only very useful for sorcery. It's very grounding to a person if you soak in a sea salt bath it soaks out negative energy. The ocean is like that too. It's very grounding for a person. Try the bath on a Thursday before a full moon.
Take a second bath that day in Olive oil, It seals the positive energy in you and you'll feel very calm.

I don't get into socery but I find herbs and natural oil to be very healthy for meditation.

The oceans are a source. The source of life. Magic(K) can work, but more on an unconscious level. Our unconscious mind does much more than the tip of the iceberg, which is the conscious. Working with symbols and rituals is one way to communicate with your unconsccious mind. I think our unconscious mind knows that for the most time of earths history we were part of the oceans and only recently decided to breathe air and conquer the continents. It may activate very old genetic memories.

We use salt for purification and protection in ritual.

Anything from a cup upwards... I used a 2 pound bag once and it was good. Soak for at least 20 min, more is better.

Actually I was referring to Magick, not magic. It is all about accessing the acausal plane (5th dimension/astral) to cause changes in the causal world. The universe is not a static entity of fixed matter and energy. It is constantly emerging new every moment. Even modern science is beginning to figure that out. Since we as interdimensional beings have parts of ourselves in the causal and acausal universes, we can affect how the universe emerges by making changes in the acausal world. This is Magick.

It makes sense that sea salt has a high vibration of emergence, the higher the vibrational frequency you can access in acausal during Magick, the more effective the result.
