and save it on some database somewhere? or do they have access to perhaps retrieve it, old convos, for some legal thing?

I don't think for some legal thing. I think just because they can and of course its a way to monitor you

They do in the UK.
Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God.
Jer 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate [woman].
STOCK UP NOW. You should have at least 6 months worth of basics for every member of your household. Stay away from crowds when trouble starts, do not forget water storage, tobacco is worth more than gold or silver, and be kind to hungry children.

HOW?? Have you heard of YouTube? Billions of videos posted per week, millions per hour. Where do they keep them? It's called MINIATURIZATION and servers, thank the Japanese!

It's impossible for humans to listen to it all, just like it's impossible for you to watch ALL the TV channels airing at any time, but it's there if it needs to be retrieved.

So 20 to life, OP?

They also record whatever you say near it, when your phone is on standby. Probably not when it's turned off but I've read it's best to remove the battery, to make sure. Or put it in a drawer or inside your bed covers when you need to talk "privately".

Also the mic on your laptop is said to record whatever you say, even if it's off.

Voice compression these days is so good that you could have an hour long conversation be less than a few megabytes.

It is also very fast to Waveform it and analyze for anomalies across the entire data set.

Of course OP. They save every text and call you make, they track your web history, fb, and twitter.

That's why you need a burner phone or a CB radio these days for sensitive communications. Good luck,

i worked for a well-known us phone company back in 2003 and was astonished to discover that even back then the data splicing and dicing and compression was so good that everything got automatically recorded ...

of course actually retrieving and listening to any of it was a little more complicated because it required some non-automatic intervention, but it was still absolutely possible

if by "They" you mean the Telecom companies, They did not have this tech in all hands 50 years ago. Maybe the major players in the industry in 1947 had access to some level of recording or server technology but it was nothing compared to what's available today in the cloud and even just onsite.

We are at a FUCKLOAD level of difference between the quality of different private systems, and their abilities of data analysis and statistical order.

This is why we need to unify everything to one database, one large system or subset of systems run by Lord Jesus Christ himself, or a subset of his brothers and sisters in this world that we live on.
Let the Government try to compete with that.

Well, the way it works here is CSE (Communications Security Establishment) in Canada and the US have agreements where... Canada can spy on US citizens and US can spy on Canadian citizens. At least that's how it was, don't know how it is nowadays.

That way neither country is effectively spying on their own citizens.

I don't believe the phone companies are recording every convo but if someone is being targeted by a spy agency well, they can have access to it but that is so far ago, these days I'm not sure how it works.

I do know that the RCMP were given a lot of powers to access phone data,

And this is all public knowledge.

They are only supposed to record what number you called and when etc.

But yeah, I bet they record everything anyway with the only restriction of actually admitting it or using it as evidence in court.

CSIS and the RCMP require judicial warrants to I guess ''spy'' on phone conversations... CSE, only requires a Ministerial Authorization. So, no warrant necessary.

LOL,
First off you idiot Australian motherfucker, I am 47, I am Lord Jesus Christ. Don't make me get angry noob.

I am far from a sheep I have worked in tech for over 15 years I know how things work and I also was a supply chain manager, for a large company that was founded back in 1946 and still runs to this day and I did all their IT, everything from telephone to server. I know the limits of what is possible in technology and how companies keep up within those margins.

I know what NASA is capable of, as well.

I never took the Vaccination, By the way, and have not had a Smartphone since 2014. I am in very good shape, and I am loved by the Universe, unlike you. hf

Re: Do cellphone companies record each and every phone convo their users have? as an automatic thing?
Yes. It was one of the many reasons they got rid of the analog use of comms. Digital is far easier to record, monitor, etc.

And they have been recording everything for five decades in real time. There are video cams and audio devices you don't know are in public, and your own devices and have been for 50 plus years.

Satellite imaging and video recording have been going on for decades - all in real time.

It is well known that ATT in SF had a floor dedicated to 'spying on all domestic calls via relationship with the NSA - rather - the NSA was involved 100% at managing this division of ATT in SF.

Its all 1s and 0s... its recorded.

You have to remember - if the public is just being introduced to some technology - the govt has been using it for at least 50 years prior... gps is a great example of this ... when garmin released its first product to the commercial market - the military had been using it for decades prior...

So whatever tech you think is cutting edge now... yeah, its old news... and govt contractors like lockheed, northrup, alphabet, L3, stryker, grummin, boeing, genentech, etc... they are working on cutting edge sh#t that would blow your mind. AI, and Nanotech swarms ...

I have some drug charges in my past and they certainly looked at who I was calling and when but I'm pretty sure they didn't know what was said or I'm %100 sure they would have used that in court against me.

Ultimately they got me on possession instead of sales/distribution.

Charges are about 10 years old now.

SUCKERS!!!
