Report from this weekend's gun show

Just a quick note for those interested.

First of all, this weekend's show was far less crowded than February's show. I guess a lot of folks bought what they needed during that show.

Ammo was plentiful. I bought a case of surplus ammo for less than I could find it on line. That surprised me. However, top shelf ammo was going for retail and no one that I talked to was willing to wheel and deal. No bulk discounts. The common line was they'd rather hold on to it because it'd be worth more next show. Maybe, maybe not.

Good quality firearms were also going for near retail. I shopped pistols and rifles. Not much difference in price from a sale at your local Gander Mountain. I did manage to get a good deal on a Rem 700 from a private seller. I didn't steal it, but I came in about $150 under retail.
