As far as this Colin Powell issue, Colin Powell up until he retired did not have a party per say. Colin Powell voted for Obama so just how Republican was Colin? NOT MUCH.. He was thought to be a conservative when Bush appointed him for Sec of State.. but at that time Colin did not admit to which party he was aligned with.
