I was in a tent, another fellow in the group had one of these and used that for the duration of the trip. No real problem with it as far as I could tell. He seemed to sleep fine, though it is hammock style, so you sleep on your back for the most part. He said it was toasty warm, though hard to get dressed int he morning without going outside first. |

You raise some interesting points. A) getting dressed would seem nearly impossible B) If the bottom side is mesh, it could be quite breezy and cold. A warm bag would definitely be a good idea. I also wonder how small it packs? |

Bug spray removes sap like nobody's business. Generally sleeping off the ground allows the cold to get in but with solid material for the floor and rain fly on to prevent wind and you'd prolly be ok. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 479202I would have never guessed bug spray would remove sap! Ya learn something new every day. I'm thinking I may head out to a couple of the local sporting good stores to see if I can find one of these. I'd like to get a hands on look at it. |

Definitely wouldn't fit in a pack, but would be great if you could drive to your campsite. The one you linked to is actually a lot nicer than what I was looking at. |
