Anonymous Coward User ID: 678965 United Kingdom 05/14/2009 10:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation	SERIOUS QUESTION FOR WICCANS WITCHES PAGANS MAGICIANS ETC. i personally dislike them but my girlfriend enjoys horror movies. yesterday when we were out walking at an old celtic site we discovered a small bundle of twigs (about 10cm in diameter) that had been arranged purposefully on the ground beside a very old yew tree. yew trees were held sacred in celtic traditions and were used as suitable locations for sacred rituals and other ceremonies etc. my girlfriend claimed that small bundles of twigs were one of the ritual devices used in the blair witch project movie and so she suspected that this small bundle of twigs had been used in spellcasting and possibly for dark purposes. we did not touch or disturb the twigs in any way. even though i have extensive knowledge of paranormal and esoteric matters i am unfamiliar with the bundle of twigs thing. what i want to know is this. is the bundle of twigs ritual an established ritual device or is it something that was thought up by the film makers? tia for your input.

IF one were using symbolic magic this is the most logical way to use it

SMith 436409 Agreed with the whole intent slant. The object used in the ceremony is not so important as the INTENT of the ceremony. If the OP felt some sort of presence or power, I think that is more important than the object found there.
