I'm forking around with Flight Simulator X lately learning a bit how to fly. Cessnas are easy. Aerosoft makes some great addons for FSX too.

Okay the question is how different is real flying from sim flying cause I can fly the Cessna and Lear pretty well.

50 bucks is worth it for a first timer flight.

for the sim guys. well. where i fly it was a bit more busier than most other places one would fly. there were harbors with boats, bald eagles, mountains, islands.. also other people flying their little single engine.

when you press out to level out the pitch, you'll notice that you will need to level out the right more because of how the engine rotates.

of course coming down is the hardest thing. get that down pat and flying will be cake to you.

now which is better, learning to fly by Tom Petty or the foo fighters. hm.

i did that a long time ago, it was a riot. becoming a private pilot and being able to afford to fly is quite a bit of money though.

Advice: Don't waste your time or money. Unless you are going to go all the way from 0 time to ATP and jets.

Take it or leave it. Flying is an addicting drug.

Simulators don't take engines internal inertial forces into account?

I'd love to own and pilot a plane but not only is it expensive, looking at the statisics it's actually quite dangerous. So many things can go wrong... heaps of moving parts, weather, traffic, fuel, even walking around where planes are parked or taxiing.

Maybe I've watched too many plane doom Youtubes.

Re: went on a 45 min instructor FLYING lesson today, ask me a question
I was fishing this morning on a lake and watched a seaplane land on the water and then take off again. I loved it! For the first time in my life, I wondered about taking flying lessons.
