I always feel like.. somebodys watching me

This is going to sound like a little slice of paranoia, but I have some questions for some of you here on the forums.

For the last 5 years or so, I frequently notice people staring at me very intently. I'll give a few examples: I was driving to my apartment and had to make a right turn. On that street that I was turning, there sits a stop sign, and there was a truck stopped there as I turned. As I pass this truck, the guy in the drivers seat is staring at me...no movement or anything. Just staring at me...coldly. Like he knew me and I did something to him. So I just kind of shook my head and said "what an idiot'. I never met this person, and certainly didn't recognize the truck.

But you know, I forgot about it almost as soon as I returned home. Two weeks later, I'm sitting in a pub enjoying a pint, watching some baseball. There are two guys across the bar either staring at me, or talking about me. I feel very uncomfortable as for one) I'm a dude, and 2) I don't like attention, and I'm wondering what they are talking about. This goes on for about 30 minutes until I finally get up to walk out. They stare at me for the entire 30 meter walk from the stool to the door outside. It's the expressionless stare that worries me.

Again, I just whisper a few expletives to myself, and forget about it. Now, this happens rather frequently to me, and I have stopped brushing these instances aside. Now I notice it when I go anywhere, that there are people who stare at me. So much so that I kind of don't look at anyone directly anymore. It happened just today as I was at the grocery store. Someone in front of me about 10 feet decided to turn around and looked down past me, then focused her eyes on mine. I felt immediately out of sorts and yes, paranoid.

As I think back, this has happened to me hundreds of times, that feeling of being watched, and then actually seeing that someone is staring at me, and normally they're motionless.

And for the record, I'm not a pot head or anything like that, just getting kind of worried. Has anyone had something like this occur, or even heard of a situation like this before? I've had about 4 dreams (or nightmares) where I'm leading people to caves while across a river, a city skyline is being obliterated. I have some odd feeling this is related somehow?
