I am capable of delivering a non-lethal shot that can incapacitate. At that point, we could discuss moral issues while he is at gunpoint, at the mercy of two dogs and wounded. If all he wants is some cash, fine, I'll give him some. Food, same deal. But he will think twice and thrice before attempting robbing again, while he recovers in the hospital. |

See what i mean ? How far should punishment for a crime go ? What percentages of crimes are really terrible ? And for the ones that are really terrible. What created that circumstance and person that is so terrible ? I for one dont believe people are born monsters. Something makes them like that. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 672714The guys need to convert the robber to Islam at gunpoint. Well to look even deeper is to see this .....the gun is used for many forms of persuasion in this world. Is it not ? All religions. All groups from street gangs to government gangs have used the threat of the gun to get what they want. But we will see what this threat philosophy leads to. In a very big way. What we get is what we believe in. As a group. And there are NO pacifist. Just some use a different form of weapon. I myself use the sword of truth. * ---V--- Man's symbiotic connection with the cosmos will be known and there is nothing which can stop that knowing. The unsigned note said it was from the man who tried to rob Mohammad Sohail, who has a store on Long Island, near New York City. The note said the would-be robber has a new job, a new child, and is staying out of trouble. Sohail told the newspaper Newsday that he is saving the $50 for charity. The bat-wielding man tearfully told Sohail in May that he was trying to feed his family. The rifle-toting businessman gave him $40 and bread, and made him promise never to rob again. |
