GOOD JOB AZ! Everyone knows that global warming is a sham!

I am 27 and live in the UK (though I've also spent two years living in Arizona funnily enough). Until I was about 20 I accepted 'man-made global warming' without question, having been taught it as a fact at school in England from primary (elementary) level onwards.

However, the more I researched the subject by reading everything I could get my hands on, I began to have serious doubts. The final straw was when I ended up in a serious long-term relationship with a girl whos twin sister was an extremely well qualified and accomplished geophysicist, who is in turn in a relationship with an equally well qualified astrophysicist - both at Cambridge, England. I had many conversations with them both, and their friends. It dawned on me that there is nothing like a 'consensus' on 'man-made global warming' - in fact its far from accepted in such circles.

It now seems blatantly obvious that trying to draw accurate conclusions from the relatively tiny amount of information we have collected and collated in the modern age about climate is beyond seriously flawed. It is now embaressingly obvious to admit that its actually the immense forces at work in the cosmos that affect our climate and that the Earth has been at the mercy of these forces since time began; and it has indeed gone through massive changes many times - without there being people here.

It is also now painfully obvious that the 'man-made global warming' proponents have turned the subject into a religion/cult - one that they will fight to the last to defend because they have tasted so much power and influence through it. It is no secret that massive amounts of money are now being made from continuing to peddle the misinformation by 'green' companies, massive corporations and various governments. 'Green taxes' are the perfect tax; you can squeeze money out of people and say its to 'save your grandchildren' - who is going to argue against that!

We can't recklessly destroy the planet as we will turn it into an unpleasant place to live, but reducing carbon emissions will have no noticable effect on the climate of the Earth - it will fluctuate and change with or without us.

I challenge anyone who currently belives in 'man-made global warming' to go out there and spend a few years reading information from BOTH sides of the argument; then draw informed conclusions. Do not write-off the anti-global warming science as 'oil company-funded propaganda' - I know from first-hand experience through scientist I know personally that its not; or at least no more of it is than the green arguments are funded by people like Al Gore.

Indeed. Probably be one of the central platforms of the NWO too - to encourage the sheep to austerity and self-sacrifice for the "greater good".

I remember reading in "The Green Hoax Effect" by Peter Sawyer that the original ozone hole studies that sparked the modern furor were funded by Du Pont. Why? Because their patent on CFCs was about to run out and they had the patent on the replacement product HFCs. According to him they pulled a similar stunt in the 1960s with DDT. DDT (again apparently) has never been shown definitively to have the harmful effects attributed to it. What DDT was good at however was controlling mosquito habitat and thereby malaria.

Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't matter what the science says on the matter because the politicians in Arizona are planning to pass laws that overrule scientific professionals in state office.

What is wrong about what Arizona is doing is that the politicians of the state want to take control of the scientific environmental work and deliberation away from the professional state scientists and force professional conclusions on the scientists by legislative fiat.

Like lawmakers passing laws about what kind of medicine people can take, taking control away from the medical professions and surgeon general professionals.

theres a lot of differing data re global warming but as far as i can gather over the last 100 years the temps on this planet has gone up 1.8 degrees. am i the only one who finds that amazingly stable? i could go and fuck with the thermostat for three to four hours & i could not detect that difference.

Good on AZ! Everyone should be against the coming cap and trades. This shit has been in the works for 40+ years. The UN has a string of characters that have worked hard on getting the education systems to indoctrinate the children into the Green Scam.

For their next act our redneck legislators who have on average NO SCIENTIFIC background what-so-ever are planning on "legislating" the hours the sun is allowed to shine on Phoenix and Tucson during the daytime. By doing this they feel they will lower utility bills for all residents and increase the hours we now call dusk and dawn so the best part of the day will last longer!

How they're going to get the sun to pay any attention to their legislative efforts has not been considered. They seem to think they are omnipotent - which is a joke considering that most of them over 40 and male are totally impotent, but that's another story...
