Who got the gun?

Little incident around here in the South. Lady opened her little trinket shop 9am, as usual and went in the office, made coffee, came out with cup of coffee in her hand.

Another woman was in the store with a tire rod and tried to hit the store owner, knocked the coffee cup out of her hand; store owner said "What are you doing?" (This is typical small town America where everyone (used to) leave doors unlocked); robber-woman said "I'm gonna rob you."

They tussled for the tire rod, both ended up on the floor, then robber-women was holding shop owner down by holding tire rod at either end, pushing tire rod across the shop owner's neck.

Tussled some more, shop owner got the tire iron, then robber woman asked shop owner to give it to her so she could wipe her robber finger prints off it.

This is all on the shop owner's video of the incident!

Shop owner yells "What do you want?" Robber woman says "I need gas money." Shop owner said "Why didn't you just ask?"

Robber woman leaves the shop. It takes law 45 minutes to get there. They find robber woman walking next street over because her ride went off and left her.

Robber-woman lives next county over.

People are going crazy.

Neighbors asked shop owner she didn't use her gun. Shop owner said she never had time to get to it, just walking out of her office door and and "Wham!"

In some cases, agents have asked to enter these people’s homes, and requested serial numbers of all firearms the members possess.

In each case, the agents were making inquiries based on the number of firearms these NRA members had recently bought, and in some cases the agents said they were asking because the members had bought types of guns that are frequently recovered in Mexico.

This kind of questioning may or may not be part of a legitimate criminal investigation. For example, when BATFE traces a gun seized after use in a crime, manufacturers’ and dealers’ records will normally lead to the first retail buyer of that gun, and investigators will have to interview the buyer to find out how the gun ended up in criminal hands. But in other cases, the questioning may simply be based on information in dealers’ records, with agents trying to “profile” potentially suspicious purchases.

Growing up in Massachusetts, I never even saw a gun except in a police officer's holster for my entire adult life. I never considered the 2nd amendment and thought it unusual that it was even included in the bill of rights.

6 years ago I moved to Florida and last fall when the shit started hitting the fan I decided it was time to get a gun.

2 classes, 4 guns and thousands of rounds later I wonder how I ever lived without one before. I wouldn't even consider leaving the house without my Springfield XD 45. I now understand that the 2nd amendment is THE most important of all because it is the only one that protects the others.

It's like I told my wife, the 2nd amendment isn't there to guarantee the right to bear arms just to protect yourself. The media never mentions it and no one really talks about it but it is there to protect the right to bear arms in case we ever need to overthrow a tyrannical government.

Sadly that day is approaching very quickly.

Yep, and about a week after they start, nobody will be wanting that job any more.
