Korn – Selling Satanism To Suburban Kids

Korn has a pretty big following. I, for one, grew up on their music. For one, I started out as "that kid", but later on became "the popular guy", but instead used my "powers" for good, and to protect the ones that were still being picked on.

I can't say Korn is the cause of my good nature or transformation, but they certainly helped me relate to something during a period of my life when I had no one to relate to.

This may be the reason so many got upset about this topic.

I believe that if Satan is really behind the music, the music itself would be much better. If this garbage is the best Satan can do, I'm not terribly worried about him.

I think Korn might have given in to making that vid, you know often there are veiled threats if musicians don't comply ...

Agreed - they aren't Satanic because "Satan" doesn't exist. However I've found Korn's music to have such a bad vibe that I won't listen to it - as cool as some songs are - because It literally FEELS like it's going to rub off and affect your life negatively. Or, they simply are so good at projecting the angst, fear and hatred (from being picked on in High School) that they are making Great Art - so great it is unbearable.

That said, unless you are a kid being picked on in High School and need some music to relate to temporarily, I'd stay away - it's only gonna hold you down in negativity. Better to listen to some other Metal that gives you the anger-energy in a more constructive way...if that makes any sense..
