Anonymous Coward User ID: 480936 United States 07/17/2009 10:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ever notice how the wildlife officials say the same shit time after time-"Oh this is rare-this is unusual blah blah blah! When your in the wild your in the wild and animals that'll tear you appart while your still breathing are out there. Black bears, lions, wolves, grizzlies, even the jaguar is here in the states. The best defense is a good offense. Don't just carry a gun! Carry a knife that'll do deadly damage in a hurry and a club that could crack a bull's cranium from side to side. End its life if an animal attacks you! Most people die from the stupidity of denial-deliberately the victim of authoritative trance as body parts are consumed from the living soul. You have the right and duty to not only defend yourself, but to do it visciously against anthing that attacks you! How much more effective is a proper sword than an improper bullet. The man above did not have victim written on him-if you have erase it now! |

It's a wild place. I've seen grizzly fishing in the river. I once fished a tributary to the Shoshone back into the woods about a mile and I had my eyes and ears on alert for a lion. Fortunately didn't see one. I always carry my 357 on my hip when I'm in that area fishing. My largest river trout, a 23' cutthroat, was caught right at Wapiti. |

I love how the writer attempts to make the animal the victim, right away in the cheesy piece. Hopefully theres video of this guy taking care of buisness!! What a great tool-turned weapon to use in that situation! He must of felt really good revving that chainsaw as they circled each other. "Cmon, bring it kitty" |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 723107 United States 07/17/2009 11:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Apparently early summer is the time of year yearling cougars are kicked out of the maternal unit and have to fend for themselves. The mothers are raising a new brood and while daughters sometimes help with this the year-old toms are just a liability. Almost all the attacks are caused by year-old toms who have trouble adjusting to life without mom. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 548848A 100lb mountain lion is not a yearling. Avg weight for an adult male is 93lb. |

You cant protect yourself, but you can kill any tree or disturbe any environment you wish. |

Quoting: The BossThat's what I'm thinking.... Doesnt seem like a mountain would go any where near the noise of a chainsaw..... I dont know, the whole story doesn't make much sense, really....... |
