UFOs will come to be seen as a 20th century psychological phenomenon - nothing whatsoever to do with anything extra-terrestrial. Interest in them will wane with the advance of imaging technology and the resulting inexcusability of poor quality photographic evidence.

It is notable that as global visual awareness has increased the incidence of 'interesting' UFO cases has diminished dramatically. This is because creating a successful hoax has become much more difficult. The only 'evidence' these days provided is in the form of poor quality 'youtube'-type videos of blobs and lights, which are obviously most likely to be misidentified normal things, like planes, satellites, helicopters, clouds, birds etc.

The reality that UFO-believers are reluctant to face is that we are not being visited by any aliens, and never have been, and most likely never will be, simply because the universe is too big and inter-stellar travel virtually impossible.
