Go to U-Haul's web site and see what the rate is for a truck from San Diego to Phoenix - one way. Then repeat the rate check for Phoenix to San Diego. You'll note it is much more expensive to leave CA. Why? Because nobody is taking trailers/trucks to CA, only out, and u haul has to ship them back. |

Springsongs User ID: 226702 United States 07/27/2009 01:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just posted an ad for my apartment here in CO and received what seemed like a somewhat urgent request to set up a time to see the apartment by a couple moving here from CA. I had thought that they might be fleeing the economy there and this thread confirms that for me. In general I am seeing quite a few more responses this time around... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 684422 United States 07/27/2009 01:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Me too. California was a great experience for me. I really did like it (Northern California mostly), but made up my mind during 3 riot-filled days to leave - back in '92 when I was living in Manhattan Beach (LA). Quoting: Anonymous Coward 735126Same here. I lived in Man Beach a couple of years. It was a paradise back then. Did about everything you could do and really enjoyed it. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 662552Texans, prepare for liberal and weedy Calis !! They are already here. There is something I am wondering about. User ID: 735306 United States 07/27/2009 01:49 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Land in Texas is cheap! We bought 18 acres of land for $35k on which we built our house on. We love the privacy! Our closest neighbor is about 700ft away. No buildings blocking our view, nothing but clear skies for us! So have I now become your enemy for telling you the TRUTH? Galatians 4:16 *********************************** You call me paranoid. I call you uninformed. :tgdmwt: |

Not poster, but Coloradoan. To answer your question: Anywhere, I am sick of all the new taxes and fees they have instituted. We have already absorbed too many Californians. Why do you think we turned into a blue state? Our governer Ritter giving most of the stimulus money to his old law firm? Here on the western slope we just got a half million stimulus. Guess where that went? To improve parking for fu*king snowmobilers! |
