anyone? User ID: 762972 United States 09/10/2009 04:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Doctors offices say they will no longer test for h1n1. I've called mine in GA and they verified that they will test for A or B. The CDC said if it is A, assume it is H1n1. When I asked if the CDC said to assume its H1N1, does that mean that we will not need the vaccine. She said no. So when I said I would like to know if I have it so I know if I need the vaccine she said she'd have to call me back.
Does anyone know how to get/pay for an independent test? My coworkers son at a University in GA did test positive a week ago (before new guidelines), just curious to how someone can obtain proof that they've had h1n1 so they won't need vaccine down the road. If there is a shortage of vaccine, why hasn't someone else developed an accurate test by now (other than CDC)? |
