Re: How many former C64 owners?
The C64 was my first computer way back in 1984 and my second computer was a Commadore Amiga 500.

I loved my 1200baud Mighty Mo Modem. It used to take hours just to download a 64kb game.

I used to love all the intro screens pirate groups would put on all they games they released.

When I first got my C64 I had one friend who already had tons of games for it so I got him to copy tons if disks full of games for me. I had no idea what games he gave me so me and my other friend would stay up all weekend just discovering all the new games that I had.

One of the best was Artillery Duel, where you had this little tank thing and the other player had one as well. It didn't move or anything but it was on a hilly background and you would try and blow up the other person's base but you had to set your shot power and the wind would always be changing.

So much fun.

Great game!
The catapults during seige, you pulled back the joystick then released it.

I had regular red and white joysticks then switched to the ergosticks, basically a formed hand fitting device.

There was a game called Sinbad, that was kinda dirty.

If you accepted the help of this hot witch, there was a bizarre sex montage.

We called the game Skinbad after that.

Please share your memorable moments with your c64.

I remember when I bought my epyx cartridge. Boy! did it make a difference when it came to speed.

So I am 41 and a girl..in USA..I loved my C64..started playing I think at 7 or 8..Used to drag my old little TV around and my discs:)..Load "*" ,8,1...burned into my little brain..I had a manual that came with it where you could write some code that made a ball bounce around the screen.
A major accomplishment for me back then
.lol..some face games..Winter Games, Summer Games, Below the Root, Alice in Wonderland, Montys revenge, River Raid, Donald Duck, Crystal Castles, Lord of the Rings..I work in software for a living..Pretty sure C64 has something to do with that!

Re: How many former C64 owners?
There was a c64 emulator out there with a bunch of games.

The website had "lemon" in the title.

Fun.

Re: How many former C64 owners?
Was born in 1973. Got my first C64 in 1983.

Sometimes I still watch C64 videos on the net, browse through the manuals (oh, those POKE tables!) and it makes me feel good.

I recommend this guy on YT for C64 and other 8-bit computer nostalgia.
