If the dollar crashes, then eventually the stock market will crash a few weeks/months later.

but when the stock markets crash, the dollar will rise.

check it out, when the dollar falls to a certain level, the Fed will up its "key" rate. this will cause stocks to fall and the dollar to rise.

Right, but if the stock market crashes, unemployment will rise even more. Eventually (months/years), the trillions of paper dollars printed in the past few months will be poured back into the system devaluing the dollar and cause massive inflation. So either way, both systems are screwed given enough time thanks to federal intervention.

The dollar crash will be a U.S. problem. Banks have already lowered their holding of dollars to 30%. This means the Euro and Yen will step up and be reserve currencies for the time being.

I am not sure about the stock market. A lot of companies are international and it will not effect them dramatically.

For citizens it will mean $8 gas and $8 milk. All imports will raise 50 -100%

Give it time and both will crash. We'll be a banana republic before you know it. Count on it.
