But when you look at what goes on in California everyday, the New Madrid looks like nothing. However, it could cause huge damage if it does go off. I'm in north AL and it would definitely cause a lot of structural damage here. I've talked to DH about getting earthquake insurance, but I'm not even sure if it's available around here. If the New Madrid quake happened, we would probably be screwed.
