First time you buy a gun in Indiana you need ID. Now if I buy a shotgun at Walmart,to hunt on my own property,no permit is needed. If I need my hand gun/shotgun repaired,going to a firing range (or any other reason I take it off my land) I will need a consealed permit to drive to the repair store.

can this even be legal?? would not a gun owner, or even a non-owner have some grounds for legal action?


One would assume gun registrations are public record, but there's a reason nobody has every published them before. See above.

That doesn't appear to be true, though your city may have more restrictive laws.

OK, so is a crook going to avoid a house with guns or is he going to hit it so that he can get a gun for more crime? I know a guy who was a gun dealer and some young (18-20) year-old thugs broke in during the night to get his guns. They shot and killed the man and his wife and left their youn kids to find the parents.

And it is legal to carry a long gun in your vehicle in Indiana.
