Quoting: IceThere is actually a lot of truth in that. Bloodlines. It might sound ridiculous, until you consider the difference in spirit between a Jeffrey Dalmer and a John F. Kennedy. The bloodlines are an indication of someone's inclination towards faith, and obedience to God. That's why the bloodlines are important. It wouldn't make much sense to have a rebellious spirit born into a family of those inclined towards faith.
