AW User ID: 800609 United States 01/25/2010 01:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i play plenty of war games... call of duty, halo, operation flashpoint (my favorite, the old one is the best) all the battlefields... it just isnt the same on the screen obviously. i want people to learn the REAL history of our warriors. schools act like its a bad thing to talk about our military. if we want to be around for much longer as a nation we need to keep our military knowledge and pride. when i was in highschool i was usually one of the only ones who did the pledge... why??? it sickened me when i would rise every morning and place my hand on my heart and loudly and proudly say it. it wasnt about modern politics, i said it for the men before me who died for me and for the hopes of preserving the greatest nation the world has ever seen! i get sick when i see punks who talk trash about the pledge of allegiance and mock me for proudly displaying our flag and then they turn around and listen to their music and eat their food, suckling off of what the greatest men in our history have fought and died for and these people never heard of any of our real heros and dont care at all. sorry im ranting im just still mad about the way things are. every person should proudly display our flag and say the pledge from the bottom of their heart. even if they have no wish to serve in the miltiary the least they can do is say thank you to the people who have given so much for these people to be what they are now. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 787970 United States 01/25/2010 02:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OMG what a moving story - I'm from the Vietnam generation - two of my high school buddies died there - one a potential husband - it was hard to take. To this day, I miss them terribly. These were all good people - guys caught up in a draft they couldn't or wouldn't (by choice) get out of. Volunteered at a vet hospital during the war - these guys were so young and yet turned into old men quickly. And yet it is now admitted the Gulf of Tonkin incident never happened. Young people, especially guys who are playing all the glamorized war-game videos, don't think, ever, your government is NOT using you for their ultimate purpose of global domination - in real life. IF ANYTHING REMEMBER HENRY KISSINGER'S QUOTE: "MILITARY MEN ARE DUMB, STUPID ANIMALS TO BE USED AS PAWNS FOR FOREIGN POLICY." So, how does THAT make you feel? Still don't care? Want to be a hero? Come with me one day and visit my friends' graves. So young, so young. |

Quoting: AW 800609if we had no military men we would not exist as a nation, we would be slaves to the muslims, nazis, and everyone else who oppose our way of life. Nobody is saying military men are not good people. There is a reason (thankfully) that they exist. The problem is, in most cases, they are used as PAWNS. WWII was funded by TPTB for both 'sides'. Prescott Bush was indicted for 'trading with the enemy act' for funding the Nazis. (Yes, George W. Bush's grandfather). The Rockefellers funded the Nazis along with the Americans. Surprised? Here's a good book to read (and look at the photographs): WAR IS A RACKET by Major General Smedley D. Butler. The guy knew what he was talking about. My son served two tours in Iraq. Seriously wounded, he slowly recovered at Walter Reed - I had another look at young soldiers missing arms, legs, internal organs, faces burned off, etc. If you're going to be a soldier, the cause had better be legit IMO. Look up the website "Iraq Veterans Against the War". 1.2 million Iraqi dead and counting. And for what?!? And remember, only the "winners" write the history books. You never hear about the innocent civilians caught in a war they never wanted. |
