They go back as far as the crusades to find an example of someone who was worse and say that what their guy did is somehow canceled out because some conservative fucked a goat in 1787. You'll notice not only did I not make a defense for this ridiculous spending, but I said that in my very first sentence, This is what someone does when they either can't answer the question, or won't because the full facts won't support their argument. It's called deflection. It doesn't answer the question, it just tries to more the debate away from an indefensible position. Nice try, too bad it didn't work. Wanna try again? There wasn't a $200 Menswarehouse suit in the entire joint, and probably very few $800 Brooks Brothers suits. They were all expensive, probably thousands of dollars, hand-sewn custom suits. The congresswomen were similarly dressed. It just shows how out of touch these people are with the majority of middle-class Americans. They can afford to spend thousands on one suit, probably not even aware that for most of us, a $200 suit is a very nice expenditure. We see this attitude everywhere. Thousands of dollars in snacks and booze, $500 a plate fancy meals. They're all a bunch of wealthy buffoons, with no idea what it's like to be living on a modest wage in America. These are the people that are supposed to be representing our interests? I'm sure they can't even begin to understand what its like for most of us. |
