While I in no way condone this waste of money, I do have a question.

Since you're so keen to key in on this figure, perhaps you could tell me how much others either are spending, of have spent in the past?

The cost means nothing to me if I don't have anything to compare it against.



This is the basic liberal fall back argument when a liberal cant defend the actions of his leaders.

They go back as far as the crusades to find an example of someone who was worse and say that what their guy did is somehow canceled out because some conservative fucked a goat in 1787.

You'll notice not only did I not make a defense for this ridiculous spending, but I said that in my very first sentence,

This is what someone does when they either can't answer the question, or won't because the full facts won't support their argument.

It's called deflection. It doesn't answer the question, it just tries to more the debate away from an indefensible position.
