Second of all, the reason Feb was selected was because some of the greatest black inventors were born in Feb.

Whatever...it's not short enough. I think they should use the 5-day intercalary month (13th Egyptian Month) for Black History month and then say that they chose it to show tribute to the ancient egyptians.

The real reason is that 5 days is way more than enough.

Actually, it's not a bad idea for blacks to have 1/12th of the year set aside, because about 1/12th of the population is black.

THE PROBLEM is basing it on their "contribution" to society. For THAT we need a STOPWATCH instead of a calendar, and I don't know about you, but mine only goes down to 1/10th of a second..

I just know that I woke up on Monday to stories about the Tuskegee Airmen and was like WTF is up with this and then remembered its Black History month and was like oh shit 27 more days of this crap.
