Actually he has a point.. If such an object existed and was close enough to be considered a companion star, and especially close enough as the interview stuff suggests, we'd be seeing the effects of it's pull by now, in a quite obvious and dramatic way.

Even though these stars are dim, they'd have massive gravitational effects and even putting that aside for a moment, they'd still be observable from a light year away. Take the neutron star in the crab nebula, for instance. At about 6,300 light years away it's only magnitude 16.5 as seen from earth. That means its absolute magnitude is about 5.07. If it were 1 light year from earth it would appear in the sky at a stunning magntide -2.5! Now granted the M1 neutron star is unusually bright; the typical neutron star has an absolute magnitude of 14 ("The neutron star" Physics Letters A, Volume 26, Issue 12, Pages 646-647) and at 1 light year a neutron star of absolute magnitude 14 would shine at an apparent magnitude of 6.4 - still within naked eye visibility! So which naked eye star is our "neutron star" and where are its gravitational effects?

Where the hell is it optically then? If it's that luminous we would see it. I calculated the apparent magnitude above, it would be naked eye brightness even at 1 light year away.

Kreutz group comets frequently hit the sun and are NOT rare. Thousands have been found since SOHO started observing. The ones that hit recently were not even close to "very large." I've spent a lot of time searching for comets with SOHO, those were not unusual at all.

There is no cover up, the information is not classified, in fact you can see all current threats as soon as they're found; amateur help is enlisted in getting observations to improve the orbital calculations. The only thing that was classified were observations made by spy satellites observing earth that sometimes see fireballs that are already hitting earth, not shit that's still "incoming" after the observation is made. There's nothing actually magical about solstice, however.
