Those things are pretty damn massive, with a minimum mass greater than the sun itself! If one of those were anywhere near the inner solar system, we'd see some hella huge gravitational perturbations on the positions of the outer planets. Things would be seriously out of whack with their predicted locations, especially with lower mass bodies such as asteroids. I don't know who these jokers think they are, but their claim doesn't fit the observational evidence. You should be happy nonetheless; since I live in a coastal area I'll be one of the first to die if you're right about an approaching neutron star. Prepare for disappointment though, as there's no sign of you being right. If the audio account is accurate, the approach of the "little brother" star is the cause of the perturbations. If it's real, I don't know how far out it is, or how close to the solar system it will approach, but it is purportedly affecting the sun as well. The gradual breakdown of the magnetosphere is one side effect. I won't rule-out that there are things that TPTB wouldn't want us to know... but the arm chair astronomer crowd is too big to NOT notice effects like those mentioned by the no-name "astrophysicists"... You are going to experience, continuing and exponential destabilization of earth. Flooding. Fires. Earthquakes. Volcanic eruption. Later will be very high winds, 100 ft tidal waves, loss of the grid world wide over an 18 hour timeframe, displacement of land masses by moving seas and oceans, rising land masses out of oceanic depths, and then a restabilization period, into opposite spin. Underground bunkers will not be survivable. We are a negatively charged environment. We could be positively charged after this. After reading responses though, I can sure see why so many will die. Keep on having those wars though. That will fix everything. |

Then compare the rate of separation between these two point in 1950 and in the year 2000. You might have to dig up some books at campus libraries though, because information on google is being scrubbed almost as fast as it can be posted. |

Werd User ID: 873894 United States 04/16/2010 03:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Look I am not denying the possibility of the sun having a dead companion star... evidence tends to lean towards this given observations of other stars in the galaxy. However, a neutron star? People who really don't understand physics, especially in the area of the mass-gravity relationship could easily believe this. But a neutron star is so damned massive that it is just shy of becoming a blackhole, if one were approaching the solar system there would be a shitload more evidence of its effect on the solar system. No, if a neutron star was approaching, even if a few light years out, amatuer astronomers (such as astronut) would see far more evidence of it and it wouldn't stay quiet. A brown dwarf I could buy, though I am wary of accepting the possibility at the moment... but a neutron star is just absurd. |
